Ray Richards has been supplying plans and plants to farms and lifestyle blocks since the early 1980’s. Beginning in 1982 with pine and eucalyptus plantings for shelter and forestry. By 1989 he and the staff were mostly utilising native species for shelter and revegetation projects. Since 1998 they have planted many sites of wetland, riparian, and native bush restoration.
Native plantings for: erosion control, effluent fields, riparian reserves, revegetation, shelter-belts, wetlands & wildfowl habitats. We also often have lines of natives and shelter-belt plants available, as surplus stock. We collect seed from the watershed of the Ruahine and Tararua ranges. We have also enhanced native preservation projects for DOC at Mahia, Taumarunui and south Wairarapa.
Farm & L-style block shelter using exotic species also. Natives or exotic species for tough rugged, primary shelter which remain disease-free and are easy to manage. Every situation has its own peculiar requirements and has a particular species which will match the need. We can help you make the right decision.
